My first swim lesson!

Ok, this was a BIG day for me! I had my first swim lesson! Here I am in the locker room getting ready. I couldn't decide if I was nervous or excited...This was right before class began...it was my first time in a swimming pool and I loved it!
Daddy came to watch me!

Video of the first time I went under water...

Practicing my swim for a toy.

Class is over and I had a blast! Can't wait to do this every week!

Sring Break 2009

Uncle Bradley, Aunt Beep, and Beckett came to visit Sunday through today. We had such a good time. It can get crazy with two babies in the house but we all enjoyed it even when it was chaotic. Jill and I had several "business" meetings about our business. The guys helped a lot too. We did realize we weren't so young anymore though...we wanted to stay up all night Monday night and we only made it till 1:30. We got alot done and you will see a post/link on that soon. We are excited about our new adventure of "make it initial"!
Photo Time
Beckett really wasn't in the mood for us taking some pics of him , but we did snap a few. We had to get out the blocks to keep him occupied. I though they turned out cute. Of course with a cute subject like him I knew they would!
Below are pics of Taylor and Beckett playing together this morning. We were hoping she would learn to crawl from watching him, but she didn't. She did however start nose diving out of her sitting position so that she was laying on the floor. So that is a start. And tonight she did a really good roll over from her back to her stomach all by herself! I think that is technically the first back to stomach roll over...the other times we thought she was doing it she would still be stuck on her arm and flip back over. Yay Taylor we are proud of you! She will probably take off before too long.

They play so well together. Well, most of the time. They are both working on sharing and being gentle.

Tulsa

For our anniversary (19th) we normally take a small trip to Tulsa to enjoy the day together. It was really fun having Taylor with us this year. It was a totally different experience and for the better. Below are some slides of our crazy day. We went to Casa Bonita for lunch (a childhood favorite of Travis because he likes to eat in the neat caves). Taylor got to see a magic show there. Then we played a few games of ski ball in the arcade where she won a lion cup, and ball, and a pretty plastic ring that she will not be able to wear for along time cause it is a choking hazard. Then we took her to the zoo. It was raining off and on but still fun. Unfortunately it was under construction and alot of the animals were missing but she still loved the ones we did see. She really only noticed the ones that moved alot which were the flamingos, penguins, monkeys, and the big deer looking thing in pic below. After the zoo we drove around forever looking for the Tulsa Garden Center. Travis gps on his phone was messed up and sent us to Jenks. Ha ha but we laughed and eventually got there. That 10 minute drive took us over an hour. We took lots of pictures at the garden and want to go back soon. The rose garden will be amazing when it is in season. After the garden, we headed to the mall for a little bit to look around and get a quick 20 minute massage in the Brookstone store :). Then it was cheesecake factory for our actual "anniversary dinner" and we got back home around midnight! Taylor was such a good girl all day as always. She slept the whole way there and back. But from noon -10 she only had a 20 minute nap at the zoo! She was so happy and didn't even act tired. We are so glad that we got to share our anniversary trip with our precious baby girl!

Fun Times

Here are Taylor's star bandaids that did not impress her at all or help her forget about her shots she got last week!

Ok, if you keep up with our blog you know that we are building a deck. Well, last weekend Taylor cried everytime anyone went outside and did not take her. So this weekend since it is warmer we decided to let her play outside too. It was a little windy (that's why there is a table on its side to block wind by her). She absolutely loved being out there while Travis worked on the deck. She cried when she came back in. But it was fun and we will definitely do that again!

Funny side note: tonight Travis had Taylor on his shoulders and they were looking in the mirror. Travis and I were taking turns chanting "momma" and "dadda" (we are both trying to get her to say ours first) So anyway, when he would say "dadda" he would kind of bounce her- well she was loving it until she spit up all in his hair! Hilarious! She grinned so big like she knew she had just done that!

6 month photos by Mr. Stephen

Oh Wow! These are my favorites so far! I wasn't really sure what clothes to take for Taylor's 6 month photos because it is still too cold for her spring stuff, but I didn't want to buy her new longsleeve stuff, so I opted for a crazy fun shoot. I made her the tutu and bow, and the cow leggings were a gift from Samantha awhile back, and the overalls were mine when I was her age, and the cardigan-well, it's new -she had to have one new thing :)
We had a lot of fun doing these photos! She was so good and loved posing for the camera. This is just a small sample of the great images we got! Thanks Stephen!

6 month check up

Taylor had her check up and got her shots today-not fun!

Her stats:
Weight: 16.6 lbs (50th percentile)
Height: 26.5 in ( 75th percentile)
Head: 16.5

doctor says she is doing good. Said she is a tall skinny girl which totally cracks me up (you know what I mean if you have seen her belly lately) The doctor said her head is on the small side, but that it is good. She gets to start learning to drink from a sippy cup now! Yay!

Well, I have pics of her cool star bandaids but I will have to add them later.

Our newest addition

Bebe and Pops were in town this weekend to help build our deck. Taylor loves being outside so we went out to check on the progress quite a bit. In fact everytime someone went outside without Taylor she threw a fit! Ok, for the fun part...the pics...
The above pic was the beginning of Saturday, now we have almost a full deck...I will post more pics later.
Taylor loved playing with Canon
Canon steals some sugar
Giggling at Canon
The ultimate stare down
and of course Shadow got her turn, although under strong supervision since she tends to be hyper.
fun time in my Einstein

A Must see Video

This was too funny not to share. Sorry Beckett that your Aunt Flash is mean to you sometimes-i do it for the memories!

How Taylor sleeps

This seems terrible, but for some reason Taylor loves her burp rag over her face as she falls to sleep. We did not put that there....she was playing with it, covered her face, and went to sleep. We have to sneak in after she falls asleep to take it off so it doesn't restrict her breathing or anything.

6 months!

Well, since Taylor was born on the 30th I couldn't really take her pic right at 6 months, so this will have to work. Travis said it is 2 days after the 28th so technically it would be her 6 month!

Half way to my first birthday!

Weekend in LR

We had a wedding to go to in LR this weekend so we took advantage of the time down and played with Beckett...ALOT! and it was soooo fun, but now we miss him!

wow! they both have the same deer in the headlights look.
Just chillin'

Pops with both kids

Tay ready to go to the wedding

making a mess with her food

Playing nicely together. The majority of the weekend they were fighting over toys, but at this point they were being playing well together.

We had to sport these AWESOME cow print tights that Samantha gave Taylor. She did have a skirt on with them (pictured above) but it didn't take long for us to ditch the skirt.

You have to see the back view...he he...ready for jazzercise.

ok-Taylor loves to stick her tongue out now. When we first got there, Bradley would try to grab it and she would get so mad...by the end of the trip she would stick it out and leave it out for him to grab. Just a few shots that captured Taylor with that tongue hanging out.

Love the attitude in this pic!

Me and Johnny Jump Up

Taylor doesn't quite get the concept of it (which is ironic cause she jumps in one all day everyday at daycare) but at home she just likes to swing in it.
