weekend in LR

Last weekend we went to LR to visit friends and family (and go to Rison to see Brinley). Here are a few fun pics from our trip.
I got these jerzees for the kiddos before they were born in hopes that we'd take them to their first Cardinals game this past summer. When we realized that would be a hard task at their age we reconsidered and opted for just a photo in the jerzees!
And it couldn't have turned out sweeter!
In the process of trying to take the photo, Beckett kept messing with his outfit...we couldn't figure out what he was doing til he stood up and lifted the pants let...his diaper was around his leg-Funny! Jill couldn't quit laughing.

Sunday, Photo shoot with Beckett:

I got to meet Benjamin Andrews Dees for the first time and do a photo shoot with him!
He is an angel and a perfect model!

Loved these Little Man socks!

Taylor speaks her own language

Just think this is cute! When she gets stirred up she can really create some unique words!

Visting Rison

This past Saturday we got the chance to go see Jeff, Chasity and Brinley! It was sooo good to see them! We have not seen Brinley since she was born! A year later and her and Taylor get to meet again. They weren't sure about each other at first, but eventually played together. Thanks for having us down to Rison guys!

They have changed a bunch-check it out!

Fall Photos

Here are a few of the good photos Stephen took of Taylor during his fall special that benefitted the Children's Shelter.

A busy few weeks

We have had a lot going on in the Gilmore house these past few weeks. 2 weekends ago Bebe and Pops came for a visit. Then Mamaw and Papaw came up the Thursday night of the storms (we had got Papaw a gift card to Ruth Chris and we went there to celebrate his and Travis' bdays) Then the 10th was Travis' birthday. And Uncle Bradley, Beep and Beckett came up for the Auburn game that weekend (and they had a friend's bday party and we got to keep Beckett). So very fun weekends!

Then this week Taylor had to come home from daycare because they thought she had pink eye. It was extremely goopy but not too pink. We had to get drops from the doctor and it is already cleared. The stinky part was that we had just been to the doctor earlier that day to see if we could figure out her stomach problems. (doing a miralax and mineral oil treatment for 10 days then going back). So the doctor's office got to hear from us twice in one day!
This weekend we are going to the Craft fair and to our nephews football game! So you can see we have stayed busy busy busy. Here is a fun bath pic from last weekend and a little video of Taylor blowing her kisses. She normally does better than this but of course when the camera came out she decided not to.

our struggles

Ok, we are having a bit of a time with our strong willed daughter. First the good things:

We got rid of the pacifier the weekend of the 12th. We also got rid of the bottle that weekend.

Now for the hard part. She was doing good sleeping for a week or so then all of a sudden she started waking up at 3 every morning. Well, this weekend I was hoping Beckett had helped her spend all of her energy and she would sleep good. She threw a crying fit when we put her down. We let her cry it out for awhile then I went in to calm her. She laid down for a minute then started screaming a minute. Travis went in several minutes later however, she worked herself up so much that she threw up all over him. Check out the below photo.

Sunday wasn't so bad. We had to rock her to sleep but she slept til 6am in her own bed...then drank some milk and fell back asleep in my bed til 9am!

I thought we were doing good til Tuesday! I tried to put her down for a nap and she started wailing and getting worked up. I didn't want her to throw up so I rocked her for a little bit til she fell asleep and put her back down. She immediately woke up and screamed. I rocked her more and she wouldn't go to sleep. At this point it had been almost 2 hours that I had been trying to get her to sleep. I put her in her crib and she laid down for a minute. I rushed to shower and heard her start screaming over the monitor. When i got back in there she had made herself throw up all over her blankets. I got her out and cleaned her off. As I was cleaning the crib she made herself throw up again. Soooo strong willed! At this point, I wasn't feeling so hot myself. Think I had an allergic reaction to my flu shot causing my whole body to itch so wasn't in a great mood. And I was stressing because I still had to do my lesson plans and now bathe her and her to daycare and I wasn't sure if I would make it to dance on time. So I called Travis and he had to come home and get her to take her to daycare. ahhhh frustrating. So last night when she went to bed at 8pm she had been up all day with no nap! Then she was up again at 1pm last night. She ended up in bed with us so we could get a little sleep. This really feels like a lose, lose situation. We can try to get her back to sleep in her bed just to hear her scream and make herself throw up, which then we have to clean and still try to get her back to sleep. Or we can let her win and she can sleep with us and we get to get some sleep. We are stuck between a rock and a hard place.

Today, I had a lot to do and did not want a repeat of yesterday so I took her to daycare at noon. They all nap from noon-2 so I thought that would be perfect. WRONG! She did not sleep at all today! As soon as she got home she was in Travis' lap and fell asleep. He tried to put her on the floor to play and this is how she ended up...

We only let her catch a small snoozer then woke her for dinner/bath and tried to put her to sleep. As tired as she is she threw a royal fit and is currently now playing in the living room. We are starting to wonder if she is hungary so we are going to try to give her some 12 mos-24 mos formula in a few minutes then put her back down. We will let you know if it works and if she stays asleep. I have talked to Samantha about all this sleeping stuff and they are having some issues with Ella too so at least I don't feel like we are all alone.

Drive-in movie and Petting zoo

On the 18th we took her to a drive-in movie! She seemed to like it, well, she liked playing in the back of the truck. Momma and Taylor slept through the 2nd movie while dad watched it. sooo fun!

She took over my pillow - ha!

Just thought this was cute. Her motorcycle onesie thanks to samantha, her zebra crocs, no pants, and her baby stroller.

On the 19th, we took Taylor to the Benton County fair (a first for our family). We would have been dissappointed, but the petting zoo made it all worth while. She loved it!

Playing catch up...

Please check out not only this post, but I added several others that I was behind on. And I backdate them since this is a scrapbook for Tay so sorry it is out of wack.
***Update! I realized last night "sheesh" is cheese. I got some out of fridge and she said it. Then I started thinking back and she use to only say it when I got her cheese, then Travis and I got her saying it as a phrase all of the time. funny!
Have a couple of photos I want to share!
She rode in her first big girl car seat on Sept 4th...
It was a little awkward to sleep in though.
She got to try Pizza Parlour for the first time that night...big moment for us as a family...
and the verdict is she loved it!
She took her last dip in the pool :(
It was so cold she didn't get to get very far in.
I bought her a bike seat at the Rhea Lana sales and on the 7th she got to take it for a spin.
She loved this too!
On the 8th she went back to school full time. Well, 4 days a week in the afternoons.
She hesitated the first couple of days, now she dives to get down and waves bye bye to me before I can even get to the door. Apparently she likes it. We get little report cards everyday, and today she got to play with sidewalk chalk. How fun!
This cute outfit was bought by Mamaw in NY for Taylor for her bday so I thought it was a perfect first day of school look
