Activity Center

Taylor's day care teacher keeps commenting on how strong she is and today they tried her in an activity center to see if she was ready, and of course she was. She loved it! So Travis got out her's and she played in it for awhile tonight! She loved hitting the buttons even though she wasn't strong enough to make them go off. Thanks Aunt Toni, Uncle Luke and family for her activity center. She loves it!

Rollin', Rollin', Rollin over Taylor

Well, I don't have video yet, but apparently Taylor is trying to roll over. Last night she rolled from her stomach to her back, but only once-so we thought it was luck. Then tonight when we put her on her belly she immediately picked up her left arm, then left leg...got to her side, then kind of swayed there for a minute before falling on her back. It's pretty funny to watch! We immediately put her back on her stomach and she did it again! So I grabbed the camcorder and of course she was tired by then and cried and wouldn't have any more of it! Ahhhh.....I didn't figure she would do this for a little while longer!

Are you kidding?

Let me tell you about our crazy morning. Well, I got up and got ready for church. I went out to my car and saw that the driver seat had some cds in it and an ipod cable from one of the compartments. I figured Travis had been looking for something in my car last night, so I went in and asked him what he was looking for. He told me he had not been in my car. What?!?! So who was in my car...I went back out and it did look like my stuff had been gone through, but it didn't seem like anything was missing. I thought that was weird but oh well, maybe I somehow knocked the stuff out last night when I got out of the car. Well, Travis decided to check it out and realized my coin tray was half empty and their were pennies all outside the driver door of my car...someone had been in my car and WITHOUT permission. I just didn't understand how. There were no signs of break in and part of my OCD routine at night is to check all the locks on the house doors and to hit the lock button on my car until I hear it honk. It is so routine that I assumed I did it last night. I don't remember locking the doors and I guess I didn't for once, but I am shocked I didn't. It didn't appear that anything was missing so we continued to get ready for church-I couldn't find the diaper bag though and that's when I remembered it was in passenger floor board from day before. THEY STOLE OUR DIAPER BAG! Are you kidding? Whoever it was, they were just looking for a quick grab or they would have grabbed the shopping bags in the back seat, or opened the garage door to find some more goodies. I assume they saw the black bag and thought it was a purse. I bet they were so dissapointed to find out it was full of diapers and bottles! HA! We were both still upset they got that diaper bag cause it was amazing and it had a cute change of clothes for Taylor in it. Travis took me to church because I had nursery duty, then he went back to the house to see if anything else was missing. We decided that once the robber realized it was just a diaper bag they might throw it out. Well, we were right...Travis found the diaper bag with everything still in it minus the wet wipes holder just up the street. And so far, we do not think they got anything else. We learned our lesson though...I will double check the locks every night now (as if I didn't have OCD bad enough). I know we look like an easy target because we don't have any neighbors yet.

On a better note: Thanks Aunt Tracy for the early Christmas present! Taylor loves that her pjs fit now!

3 months today...

ok...here is a small clip of taylor today...the scary person whispering "Hi" at the beginning is me. I was trying to make her smile. Sorry it is creepy sounding, she likes it.

Taylor's 1st snow!

Doesn't she look happy to be out in the cold?
This was around 11 am. There was more later in the day!

Taylor meets the Tuckers!

Finally Taylor got to meet my dear family friends, the Tuckers!
I babysat and hung out with them almost everyday growing up. I loved helping raise both Clint and Hayden and they will always be my extended family. I can't wait for them to help me raise Taylor and watch her grow up.
Hayden was nervous at first, but decided that Taylor was very "socialable."
Marietta was great at making Taylor smile.

Hayden, Tiffany, and Marietta entertaining Taylor.
Clint did not want to hold her at all, but I decided I could temporarily still tell Clint what to do. I was anxious to see him hold Taylor so i picked her up and dropped her in his lap. So he held her for a few minutes! It wasn't so bad, was it Clint? You did a great job with her.
Taylor really took to Danny. They spent a lot of the evening talking and sharing secrets.
She liked when Danny would put her up in the tree branches.

Taylor with Gilmore Cousins

Every year on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving, I take photos of all my nieces and nephews on the Gilmore side. Well, I have never had to worry about my own kid in the mix so this was quite a different story this year! Below are some of the fun shots we got...unfortunately, Ashlyn was not there, but we are planning a spring shoot so stay tuned for more fun, eventful pics!
She normally smiles a ton, but was a little overwhelmed and did not smile for one pic! This was her individual. hilarious!

First day of day care!

Today was my first day at Happy Kids day care!
Look at my cute outfit I got for the first day of school! I look so happy to be going!

It was a VERY hard transition, but I made it threw the first day of Taylor going to day care. She wasn't there very long. Today she went from 1:00-5:30. But tomorrow, Wed, and Thurs she will only go from 2:00-5:30! And Friday she is hanging with me all day! I really hate that she has to go to day care at all, but her teacher seems nice.

Taylor's 1st Halloween!!!

Check me out...can you tell what I am? ...a catepillar!

Taylor loved her costume! Probably because it was like wearing a big blanket! She was either awake and happy or asleep everytime she had it on.
This is how my first Halloween went...
First I had a good breakfast in my cute Halloween bib!

Then I had the terrible doctors appointment where a mean lady gave me 3 shots!

Then I slept for a really long time...but when I woke up I was at Daddy's office party! Everyone thought I was so cute!

Look at me sitting in Daddy's office chair!

A few photos of me and my parents before I went trick or treating for the first time!

Since we don't have many neighbors, I went to Ms. Clara's house to trick or treat! All my dance friends were there!

When I got home tonight, we wrapped up a GREAT Halloween by me opening my card from my parents and taking a family photo! What a fun, but wild day!
